Baby Blues...Actually Pink

First come love, then comes marriage, then comes M&J with a baby carriage

When we first got together, we discussed if we wanted more kids - I only had my one and he had two...so I still wanted another one BUT since we had his two, I had a full home and I didn't "need" another one.

We often discussed having a baby of our own since I had mine and he has his. We tabled it in December 2016, saying we were content with the children we had.

February 2017, he brings it up again, "are you suuurrreeeee?"
So we decided to try until July, if God hadn't played a hand in our favor, we'd call it and be happy with what we had in life.

April 15, 2017 (my birthday) - I found out I was pregnant. I joke with M every time and ask him how he will top my birthday present from each year since our first one was engagement, second one was a baby...third one was us buying my dream house - I think he's on a high expectation streak haha

Adventures Together

We booked our honeymoon to Puerto Rico and checked out San Juan, it's a beautiful colorful place!

Always remember when choosing your partner for life, choose someone who will try new things and go on adventures with you!

Marital Bliss

As I mentioned, I recently got hitched, well we just celebrated our one year anniversary, but who's counting :) (you know I am)

M proposed to me after 8 months of clearly explaining after his last marriage, he would not be doing it again. We could be like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.....sure sure.

I had never been to New York and with my 30th birthday coming up, M suggested we make that my big milestone celebration and I loved the idea.

He proposed in Central Park at 9pm on my birthday, this was after flying from Texas to New York, checking into our AirBnB (amazing), wandering up to Harlem for dinner and walking up 5 flights of steps to the top part of Central Park - I couldn't believe it! I of course said yes!

Fast forward a year, we got married with about 70 of our closest friends and family to celebrate - rustic chic style. Here are a few shots from that amazing day!!

Next up....Puerto Rico!!!

Slow Lane to Crazy Fast Lane

Hi! I'm Juliana and I have decided to start this blog to document my crazy life and all that it includes!

For years, my 8 year old daughter and I were cruizin' life in the slow lane. Off work at 5pm, home by 5:30pm, dinner, bath, relaxing time and all in bed by 8:30-9pm every.single.night - with the exception of Wednesday evenings when she had gymnastics from 6-7pm.
Now, as a single mom, my daughter, B, would go to her dad's every other weekend - on those weekends, I was a frequent visitors of the country bars with my girlfriends.

That was our excitement.

I was never behind on dishes or laundry. I know, I know - brag about it huh?

Fast forward, August 20, 2015 - I did what seems only the norm these days and I signed up for OkCupid! - a dating website that my friend had said would help me get back out there. I'd been out of a 4 year relationship for 1.5yr and was finally back to feeling like I could attempt to trust the other gender again.
As I was filling out my profile and uploading photos, I got a notification that my profile had been viewed by a guy. I let my curiosity get to me and I clicked on his profile. Tall, dark and handsome - with a beard....these days beards are all the rave - I'd never dated a guy with a beard. He definitely pulled off the look very well. Read through his details, father of two (again, new, never dated with kids - too much mama drama), lived in B-town (60 miles from me). Figured I wasn't his type and kept uploading my photos, until I got another notification showing he'd looked at my profile AGAIN. This time I decided to reach out and sent a fun little sassy message "You gonna keep looking at my profile or are you going to say hi?" Very out of character for me but behind the screen, I felt confident. He replied and the rest is history! We began dating, bought a house, moved in together and then he proposed on my 30th birthday in Central Park, NYC.

We have since then got married and had a sweet little baby girl, BB, she's 5 months old now.

Now...this post is about the fast lane...he warned me and I've explained the type of life my daughter and I lived previous to this relationship. Well, he has a son, C, who is now 14 years old and in select baseball and a daughter, G, who is now 11 years old and is in softball. My daughter, B, is now 11 years and has decided to take a break from extracurriculars (thank goodness) for the time being. We are always going to softball/baseball practices or games in neighboring towns. For school, I get up at 5:30am on the weeks we have G and C and take them to their mom's house to get ready for school and then get back to take B to school in our town, luckily the distance is only about 1.5hr roundtrip.

There are several nights we are not home until 9:00pm or way later and some weekends that we are only home to sleep, but I honestly wouldn't change it for the world. I'll post some of the details of our amazing wedding and honeymoon (Puerto Rico, anyone??) along with our newest venture - my husband loves me - he fully supports my crazy :)
